Quarrington, Salinger

Quarrington, Salinger

I missed posting last week about the death of Canadian writer, film maker, and musician Paul Quarrington. And now, eclipsing the death of a Canadian everyone loved, is the death of an American everyone wondered about: J.D. Salinger. I never really liked Catcher in the Rye myself when I was in school; I was more of a Nine Stories person, and later became obsessed with Raise High the Roofbeam, Carpenter and Seymour: An Introduction. I haven't read Salinger in a long time, but he certainly wrote books that stay with you the rest of your life.

I do post here a link to the Onion article on Salinger's passing. Lots of people have been posting it, but it bears re-posting.
